Nigerians have voted and it’s official!!! K-Peace who is fondly referred to as the King of Originality and Fuji emerged winner of the Etisalat-Sponsored Nigerian Idol season 5 after garnering months of love, affection, & votes of the judges and viewers nationwide with his heart-wrenching performances that started with thousands of contestants at the auditions that took place in Benin, Abuja, Port-Harcourt, Ibadan and Lagos.


K-Peace smiled home with a brand SUV, cash prize of N7.5 million and a mouth-watering recording deal with Universal Music Company.

The highlight of the finale was the performance of the Nigerian-French singer, songwriter and recording artist, Asa who lit up the stage and hearts of guests with hit songs from her chart topping new album, Bird of Stone.

An ecstatic K-Peace declared his excitement at being crowned the winner of the competition. He said, "I am overwhelmed getting to this stage today because I faced tougher and amazing talents, especially Dolu. Don’t feel so bad for Dolu though. As first runner-up, Dolu received a cash prize of N1.5 million and a brand new Hyundai car. Congratulations are also in order for the second runner up, Nex2, who earned himself N1 million.
